DASH: Developing Advanced Supersonic Home networks

The DASH project involves understanding cutting-edge ultra-broadband residential networks, as well as designing new services and protocols that aim to take advantage of significantly larger residential capacity. We work with the Case Connection Zone project at Case Western Reserve University. This project provides a small neighborhood of adjacent to campus with bi-directional 1 Gbps fiber connections. We utilize this experimental network to understand how current technology fares when afforded large capacity links. These observations also help identify areas where protocols and services are not performing well and we also aim to improve this situation.
