I am a professor in the EECS Department at UC Berkeley (where I also have a web presence), and the group leader of the Networking and Security Group at ICSI.
At UCB I have taught undergraduate Introduction to Communication Networks and Computer Security, and graduate Internet/Network Security. I am teaching the second of these in Spring 2013.
I'm currently advising or co-advising five UCB Ph.D. students:

Biography

I received my M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, and have been (and continue to be) a staff scientist with the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory's Network Research Group for many years. I began at the networking group of the International Computer Science Institute (ICSI) in 1999.
Three of my main active research projects are Bro, Botnet Infiltration, and CCIED. The latter two reflect extensive collaboration with UC San Diego.
My professional activities include:
- Program committee member for ACM Internet Measurement Conference 2012, ACM CoNext 2012, USENIX Hot Security 2012, and the 2012 Workshop on Building Analysis Datasets and Gathering Experience Returns for Security (BADGERS '12).
- Co-founder and steering committee member of USENIX Workshop on Large-Scale Exploits and Emergent Threats.
