granted i have missed the working group discussions, but i think you would
need to add to this layer2 switching issues.  i have not seen anyone even
start to touch this issue.  will igmp snoopers be upgradable, will
propietary methods (eg. cisco's igmp/cgmp) be upgradable to support the
SSM methods.  the content we are discussing here will be high enough bit
rate that campus level traffic management will be a critical factor.
