Abstract:

This paper proposes a system for storing and sharing Internet measurement data amongst researchers. The Scalable Internet Measurement Repository (SIMR) is centered around a database of measurements, tools, experiments, users and datasets. From this set of databases users can search for particular measurements, download the tools used to make and analyze those measurements, and quickly ascertain the relationships between various measurements. The goal of this system is to facilitate the sharing of data within the research community. This sharing will allow researchers to validate the results obtained by others, as well as answer new questions that require large and diverse datasets that would be difficult or impossible for a single researcher to collect alone.
